Tokugawa Ieyasu (Green Box) He is said to have had the most knowledge about agarwood & was a great collector. Even now, his descendants keep these precious pieces in a museum in Nagoya, Japan. 

Toyotomi Hideyoshi (Red Box ) was one of the "great unifiers" of Japan in the 16th century. He is known in Japanese literature to have loved agarwood & achieved social status by owning several pieces. A sweet & soft fragrance.

Oda Nobunaga (Purple) was one of the unifiers of Japan in the 16th century. He is known for cutting the rarest & most prized agarwood, known as Ranjatai in one of the great temples of Nara. 


Each box weighs 30g and has the traditional  5 1/4 inch sticks.
